Why Hay Importers Like ACX

Our customers from the Pacific Rim import alfalfa and other grass hays and straws primarily for use in their countries’ respective dairy industry. Types of forages imported from ACX include alfalfa hay, timothy hay, sudan grass, oat hay, perennial rye, annual rye, and fescue. We asked some of our customers to describe what they like about ACX and here’s what they said:

“ACX is excellent at providing consistent quality alfalfa…”

This customer noticed that every month when he received his order, the quality was the same. In this case, the product was premium alfalfa, and the quality of product received in the last container of the last shipment was no different than the quality of product received in the first container of the first shipment. Why? Because ACX invented the only hay grading process that ensures dependable grading—even across multiple stacks. Moreover, ACX invented the Triple Check™ quality control system where every bale of hay is checked no less than 3 times before being processed for export. Between proper grading and Triple Check™, ACX has developed a reputation for consistent quality.

“ACX sales representatives know their products…”

ACX sales representatives and ACX hay buyers are the same people. In other words, we do not have a separate hay-buying team and a separate hay sales team. In most cases, the person selling the hay to an overseas importer is the same person who purchased the hay from the U.S. hay grower. In the case of ACX, the proverbial “left hand” knows exactly what the right hand is doing—there are no guessing games at ACX because the hay buyer and seller is almost always the same person. Incidentally, ACX chooses its growers carefully and has grower relationships that span 30 years—this is how ACX is always able to provide high-quality hay.

“The ACX website is very helpful…”

When ACX decided to update their website, they decided to provide a useful tool for customers, growers, and anyone else desiring a convenient and easy method to conduct international agribusiness. Many unique features were designed with feed and fodder import companies in mind. ACX, once again, came up with an innovative method for providing forage purchase opportunities to the world market, and Friends of ACX have embraced the technologies we’ve employed.

To that end, ACX invites our friends to comment. What do you like about ACX? In what areas would you like to see improvement? How can ACX provide the best customer service possible? Please freely comment—and we will only post your comment with your permission—and you may comment anonymously.
