Farmers will begin cutting between now and the next two weeks. After unusually cool spring temperatures in the alfalfa growing regions of Washington, the weather is finally warming up.  Except for some light winds and scattered clouds, the Ellensburg area is expecting abundant sunshine with temperatures shifting as high as 20 degrees. In fact, this weekend is looking to be mildly hot with temperatures expected to hit the upper 90s with lows in the 60s. This great weather means 1^st cutting alfalfa is on the way.
