Our customers from the Pacific Rim import alfalfa and other grass hays and straws primarily for use in their countries’ respective dairy industry. Types of forages imported from ACX include alfalfa hay, timothy hay, sudan grass, oat hay, perennial rye, annual rye, and fescue. Nick Gombos, General Manager at ACX Ellensburg Division, and Greg DeWitt, Marketing Webmaster at ACX Bakersfield returned home safely from a two week visit to Japan. During their visit, both Nick and Greg met with several hay import companies to discuss the current market situation and what to expect from ACX now and in the future. They also attended the EPC meeting in Tokyo and had an opportunity to speak with several members of JFTA and ZFTA. Overall, the trip was a success with current friendships renewed and new friendships formed.
