The China World Dairy Expo & Summit was held on June 1-3, 2013 and was attended by thousands of growers, farmers and dairy men.

According to the China World Dairy Expo, “Guests who attend the grand occasion each year include thousands of professionals in dairy production and cow breeding enterprises from China and over 20 countries abroad, compounded by purchasers, government officials, experts, and reporters.”

ACX Pacific Northwest representatives exhibited at the event which was held in Nanchang, China, the capital of the Jiangxi province located southwest of Shanghai.

ACX’s Terry Hansen of ACX Wilmington Division said, “Just like the dairy market in China, this dairy expo grows every year. ACX enjoyed participating and having the opportunity to communicate with new members in this expanding market. We look forward to continued participation in this massive market.”

According to Shaun Harris, also of ACX, “The dairy expo was, again, a great way to build our strong market presence in China and increase our exposure to Chinese end-users.”

This year’s event was 4^th year of participation for ACX who is one of the largest suppliers of U.S. alfalfa hay to China. According to figures from the Department of Commerce, China imported nearly 480,000 tons of hay from the United States.
